Student FAQ

1. I have forgotten my password, what should I do?

  • On the Safety in Schools homepage, click ‘Login to Safety in Schools’.
  • Click on ‘Click here’ button beside ‘Forgot your password?’.
  • An automated e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address listed as your user name with a link.
  • Clicking on the link will lead you to a new window which lists the login e-mail address; enter your new password as well as the security number. Click on ‘Go’ to reset your new password.

2. I did not score the required grade on the post-test, what should I do?

  • Students can review courses and re-take course post-tests as many times as necessary to master the material.
  • We encourage students who did not pass the course post-test to review the course material before re-taking the test again.
  • When logged on to the Safety in Schools website, click on ‘My Courses’ and in the ‘Action’ column select ‘Restart Course’ on the course you wish to restart.

3. I am having issues with a Safety and Schools course, what should I do?

  • Look for the tab on the bottom left hand side of the course environment screen which says ‘SWIFT Help’. A pop up box will appear. Please type in your issue in the text box and Gemini SWIFT Learning will contact you as soon as possible.

4. I have completed the course, how do I print my certificate?

  • If you have completed the course at the Mastery level, navigate to your ‘Course Achievements’ tab and click on the tab ‘View Certificate’. Once you click this tab a pop up of your industry recognized credential will appear in a new window. In the middle of the certificate there will be a ‘Print’ icon, click on this and the certificate will print.

5. Do Safety in Schools courses align with the Alberta Education curriculum?

  • Yes. Click on the ‘Courses’ tab at the top of the page and select ‘Curriculum Alignment and Enhancement Courses’ from the drop down menu.
  • On this page, you will find curriculum alignment documents for AGR3000, HCS3000, HCS3010 and General CTS Curriculum Alignment.
