Skills Alberta Provincial Skills Competition

Come visit our booth at the 2015 Provincial Skills Canada Competition, May 13-14 at the Edmonton Expo Centre! Each year, we host a booth at the Skills Competition, taking advantage of an excellent opportunity to engage with teachers and students, as well as industry representatives from across the province. The competition brings together education and industry in a way that is unique and meaningful. We look forward to another terrific year at the Skills Competition in Edmonton!

About the Competition

The Skills Competition features high school and post-secondary students from across Alberta, competing in 45 different trade and technical competitions, ranging from welding to cosmetology and culinary arts. During the two-day competition, each competitor specializes in one event area and must complete a project that has been designed by experts in that field. High School students are determined at either a Regional Skills Canada Competition or through in-school selection for those events not offered in their region. Post-Secondary students are selected by their Technical Institute.

Alberta students will earn a spot on Team Alberta at the 2015 Provincial Skills Canada Competition, and will go on to represent the province at the 2015 Skills Canada National Competition.
