Steps for Life Walks

StepsForLifeNEWENG_lorezEach year, the Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life, hosts their flagship fundraiser Steps for Life. This unique Canadian charity supports the healing journey of families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, traumatic life-altering injury, or occupational disease. Threads of Life currently supports more than 2,000 family members across Canada affected by workplace tragedies.

Steps for Life is a fun 5km fundraising walk to help support families affected by workplace tragedy. Created in 2004, it raises funds to support Threads of Life programs and services. It also raises awareness about the importance of health and safety within workplaces and to the public. It’s a unique way to educate your community about the devastating ripple effects of a workplace tragedy and how we can work together to prevent others from being injured or killed on the job.

Steps for Life walks take place at several locations throughout Canada. Alberta locations include:

  • Calgary – Saturday, April 30 (Fish Creek Park)
  • Edmonton – Saturday, May 7 (Rundle Park)
  • Fort McMurray – Sunday, May 1 (Birchwoods Trails)
  • Grande Prairie – Saturday May 7 (Muskoseepi Park)
  • Lethbridge – Saturday, May 7 (Henderson Horseshoe Lake Picnic Centre)
  • Lloydminster – Saturday, May 14 (Bud Miller Park)
  • Red Deer – Saturday, April 30 (Bower Ponds)

ThreadsSteps for Life is a great way for you and your family to show your support for families who have suffered a workplace tragedy and to stand up for safety at work, all while raising money for an excellent cause.
