“Life Can Change in One Second”

Of all the speakers that were brought in to speak to us this semester, I think Dan Shoemaker made the biggest impact on me. It really struck me personally because I have always had a carefree mindset, never really caring about safety and all the laws and rules. He taught me that life can change in a second and you will end up regretting that one small mistake for the rest of your life because you will never be able to forget it. After his presentation I have tried to more closely follow specific rules and regulations, like I’m sure he regrets not doing.
